Rose — Original Song by The Annas Coming Soon

With a big yawn

She knew

She woke up a pawn

In a deadly game

With near infinite choice

She used her voice

One path forward

Always toward

Taking the king

In the mirror

She became the queen

And the knight

It was checkmate

She ended the fight

She had the sword

Given by word

She moved forward

Always toward

She made her moves

She took them all

Nothing to prove

She watched them fall

She won every game

She won every fight

You came to know her name

And then said goodnight

You played your traps

And offenses

You didn’t expect

Her deadly defences

You silenced her

So she moved in silence

She needed to stop

All of your violence

She’s alive and well

Wondering

How you’re doing in hell

She knew her power

She knew the hour

She advanced

It wasn’t a game of chance

She killed the king

She sent one flower

And now you will

Never find her

A fighter rose

That’s how the story goes

What you wrote

Is history and wrong

Now she creates

Tomorrows mystery and song

And it’s perfect

Anna at a cafe being mindful and daydreaming.

Enjoying the sun and ocean.

Dreaming about the ocean.

Anna relaxing, writing and singing songs.
